RESET® Project Statuses and Accreditation

Projects that leverage the RESET Standard can be accredited or certified by RESET. Accreditation and statuses are applied to each of the RESET Standards separately per project.

To learn more, please reach out by emailing us at info[at]reset.build.

1. RESET Pre-Accredited

RESET Pre-Accredited is awarded to projects that have passed the documentation audit according to the RESET Standard. Laying proper groundwork and engaging all stakeholders early in the design process is the most proactive way a project team can plan ahead and create buildings with outstanding efficiency and performance. RESET Pre-Accredited projects exemplify this in having documentation as proof of design intent.

Use Case and Benefits

This is an important status in the RESET accreditation process as it commits a project to deploy according to standard. A project can submit their design documentation and be approved for this status irrespective of whether or not construction or on-site deployment has commenced. This means project teams can celebrate their RESET Pre-Accredited status as early as the schematic phase of design.

2. RESET Accredited

RESET Accredited is the penultimate step in the RESET Certification program and is awarded only to projects that have met all rigorous monitoring deployment criteria, and are delivering quality data as attested to by third-party audits, but have not yet passed the performance criteria as outlined in the respective Standard Module.

Use Case and Benefits

RESET Accredited is a status that can be proudly shown by project teams, representing their accomplishment of successfully completing all of the necessary steps for monitor calculation, deployment and installation for their respective RESET Module and are collecting data that will help them learn about their project’s performance.

RESET Accredited demonstrates that the project is 100% prepared with accredited software and hardware to help them reach the ultimate goal of RESET Certification.

3. RESET Certified

The pinnacle of recognition in the RESET program, RESET Certification is awarded to RESET Accredited Projects once they have passed all performance requirements of the respective RESET Standard. RESET Certification is not for the faint of heart. In order to achieve what is the highest accolade in the RESET program, requires concerted efforts and cooperation often from multiple stakeholders including the building owner, operator, and tenant alike. To retain RESET Certification requires ongoing maintenance and care of hardware, software and the building’s operations, as well as a commitment to furthering the education that surrounds data quality and the built environment.

Use Case and Benefits

RESET Certification represents a project that has not only met all rigorous monitoring deployment criteria, but is delivering quality data as attested by third-party audits. RESET Certified projects are able to market their accomplishments, setting them apart by way of their superior knowledge of their project and the positive effects it can have on its occupants.
