Below is a list of SDGs that RESET is aligned with and supports.
Good Health and Well-Being
The RESET Embodied and RESET Air Standards target the health and well-being of occupants in a space by promoting the transparency of construction and fit-out materials and the continuous tracking of indoor air quality.
Clean Water and Sanitation
The RESET Water and RESET Waste Standards target clean water and sanitation respectively. RESET Water standardizes the continuous monitoring of water consumption and water quality while RESET Waste standardizes the continuous monitoring of waste generated from a built environment.
Affordable and Clean Energy
The RESET Energy Standard promotes energy and carbon transparency via continuous monitoring. Data collection creates additional opportunities to optimize the built environment towards net zero operations.
Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
RESET’s purpose is to help built environments become healthier and more sustainable by standardizing data collection and continuous monitoring. Data will be a key part of the infrastructure required to building awareness and visibility towards the problems that we face and it will help us better engage with finding the right solutions to our problems.
Sustainable Cities and Communities
Often times, it is not a problem with technology, but a problem with human behavior. Sustainable cities and communities require the buy in of the individuals and private entities. RESET is trying to create human behavior change using gamification with benchmarking.
Responsible Consumption and Production
The RESET Embodied and RESET Waste Standards standardize the measurement of embodied consumption in the form of construction and fit out materials and the waste generation from a built environment respectively. The data collected provides additional transparency around consumption and production, allowing for better decision making.
Climate Action
RESET is a huge proponent of moving towards net zero in the built environment. Embodied net zero can be calculated using the RESET Embodied Standard by calculating the carbon costs of all the materials used in a project. Operating net zero can be calculated using the continuous monitoring data collected as prescribed by the RESET Water, RESET Energy, and RESET Waste Standards. Net zero is only achievable with the transparency of continuous monitoring data that is trusted and actionable for measurable results.
